The college is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University Lucknow. The Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow (IET ) was set up in the city of Nawabs Lucknow in 1984. It is a prominent state government-funded engineering college in Uttar Pradesh, India.

History

IET was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1984, for imparting engineering education and for promoting technological research to generate suitable technical power. The institute is fully residential and financed by U.P. Government. The institute was formerly affiliated to Lucknow university, but since 2000, it's affiliated with UPTU recognized by AICTE.
