History
IET was established by Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1984, for imparting engineering education and for promoting technological research to generate suitable technical power.
The institute is fully residential and financed by U.P. Government. The institute was formerly affiliated to Lucknow university, but since 2000, it's affiliated with UPTU recognized by AICTE.
